Having people over before you’re done unpacking in a new home.
It makes you get reeeally clear about move-in priorities. Great practice in prioritizing people and relationships over perfection. You end up with design feedback and perspective you wouldn’t have considered for your new spot. I may come back and add to this, but for now, that’s all, folks!

Tuna & Salad Sandwich
Today I made a sandwich that made my day 76% better. I don’t know if this is how this app is meant to be used, but here’s what I did: Toast a sliced Trader Joe’s sandwich roll. Toss arugula in minced shallot, whole grain mustard, capers, chopped castelvetrano olives, shaved pecorino romano, champagne vinegar, evoo, salt, & pepper. Drain oil from canned tuna (only oil-packed for meeee). Mix with a bit of mayo to hold together, plus pepper & salt if needed. Drizzle both sides of sliced roll with a touch of evoo. Pile tuna then salad on roll and close up. Make a daytime cocktail. Wonder if it was the sandwich or the cocktail that made everything better. Sadly, I don’t have a pic of it. If I make it again, I’ll try to remember to come back and add one. In the meantime, I included a link to Palace Diner, where I had my first religious tuna sandwich experience.

Rainbow Day of the Week Pill Organizer
Our grannies were right all along. This one is: Colorful, so it catches my eye in the kitchen. Clear, so I can see how many days are left. Has rubber gaskets, so moisture doesn’t get in and make everything sticky and gross. My only critique is that the little latches sometimes pop off and make you think it’s broken. Good news is that be go right back on.

Hiding greens in the food I cook, bc I’m a toddler
Okay, they’re not literally hidden, but they’re added to things they won’t be tasted in. Spinach & kale are my go-tos. They cook down and have very little flavor. If I’m making pasta, I’m probably at kale. For some reason, spinach is the reliable breakfast add-on for me. Scrambles, grits, breakfast burritos all get spinach out of the freezer (or fresh, if I’ve found a big, beautiful bunch somewhere).
