I’ve never been to a cooler place. A bunch of men in their 70s who built a massive miniature world and run their model trains through it from a command center that looks like NASA HQ. Conspicuously located in El Sereno. 5458 Alhambra Ave, Los Angeles, CA

You’d think that heading here at sunset would be the move. Or once night falls and the downtown lights come alive. These are nice, but there is nothing better than being the only person spinning around downtown LA eating Chex mix out of a Cosmopolitan glass and sipping a martini with a clear view to the beach. Currently impossible unless they adjust their hours. 404 S. Figueroa, Los Angeles, CA
