The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison
Warm-hearted and fun without being simple or predictable.
Waist Deep
Sexy, Scandinavian, a hit for a reason. Nice end-of-summer read, get it in before it’s officially fall!
Ancillary Justice
I wish more people I knew would read this series so I could grab them by the shoulders and say, “Right??!” It’s just so good — in the tradition of Le Guin, absorbing, a little dark, more fun, a gem of a narrator.
The Clocktaur War by T Kingfisher
Have you read T Kingfisher? Get to it! This was a great place to start — propulsive, funny, sort of dark but sort of hopeful, maybe it’s a romance? Grown-ups with real (fantasy adventure) problems make friends and work hard.
