The products are handmade in Paris, which is charming - but also I ordered a second set last Saturday, and got an email on Tuesday that due to a one day public holiday on Wednesday, the headscarves would be shipped out...the following Monday. Five extra days to ship because of a one day vacay? Such a French Flex. (Frex?)

Perfect, easy, mindless roast chicken

I have been making this chicken from blogger/cookbook author Erica Strauss (RIP Northwest Edible Life, I still miss that blog!) for the past decade or so. It really is absolutely perfect. The measurements are accurate, it's really hard to mess up, and it tastes so much fancier than it actually is.

Lummi Island holds such a special place in my heart. My family has been going there for the summer for decades. It's so charmingly unassuming, with a (that means - one) grocery store, maybe two restaurants I think? An perfect library, a coffee shop out of an airstream, and beautiful, rocky beaches. Absolutely worth an overnight, or a month. Either way.
