Perfect maple pecan donut
Sticky-sweet maple glaze, crunchy toasted pecans on top, and that soft, pillowy dough underneath — it’s basically fall in dessert form. One bite and I’m already planning my next one. 10/10, no notes.
Taskmaster.
My 11 year old son and I enjoy Taskmaster so much. The formula is deeply unserious, joyful, and impish. It has been such a fun discovery for us to enjoy together!
Whistler by Ann Patchett
This book is a must read; it is tender, expertly crafted, and well paced. I was genuinely rooting for everyone in this book, and it made me think about family, friendship, and memory for weeks after I finished. You cannot ask for more in a book!
Fleishman Is In Trouble
This book and companion tv miniseries were totally enjoyable and provocative. The narrative shifts perspective and identity, reflecting on the complexity of motherhood, loneliness, anxiety, privilege, and identity. Weighty topics, but told in a buzzy, witty, and sharp way. Not to mention Clare Danes and Lizzy Caplan were so fantastic!
