Twinless (2025)

Finished watching Twinless several weeks ago but it has lingered around. It’s incredibly uncomfortable at times, and thoroughly thought-provoking. If you are up for the challenge I would highly recommend.

Hell of a Summer

While Hell of a Summer was not universally acclaimed, I throughly enjoyed the 2025 horror-comedy. Hell of a Summer is both very familiar following the tropes of previous flasher films, but cleverly integrating themes of modern social anxiety and cringe-comedy. I am biased as I saw this in theaters and really enjoyed this film co-starring and directed by Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk. If you enjoyed Heart Eyes (2025) I would recommend giving this film a shot.

Chamblin’s UPTOWN

If you love cafes, books, and games you have to check out Chamblin’s bookmine and especially the UPTOWN location. Truly the best spot in Jacksonville, Florida. Friendly staff and fair prices on both the cafe and shop items. I would recommend finding some treasures here and then stopping by the downtown library branch which is just spectacular.

GOAT

GOAT was a delightful surprise. Maybe my favorite film I’ve seen in theaters so far in 2026. GOAT doesn’t just depict an underdog story but focuses on the supportive community around our protagonist Will. The film is shockingly very funny and extremely well animated. While GOAT isn’t groundbreaking per se it executes every element of an animated family film at the highest level. If you liked the vibrant worlds of the Zootopia franchise and Elemental (2023) — I would recommend watching this with the whole family.
