I craft in a bunch of different mediums and am a master of none, but having my own pieces thoughtfully displayed in my apartment brings so much whimsy to the space while making me feel more confident in my art. And it’s a budget friendly way to decorate! I was just window shopping in LES and there are so many cool boutiques with handmade, albeit, funky junky looking decor items that feel so coolly styled and special. Hang your kids art up, your partners, and your own!

Yoga with free cancellation

I love my yoga studio for many reasons, but one big one is that it allows free reservation cancellations as an unlimited member. Because some days if work goes long and I have to rush there and risk being late, I know my yoga won’t feel very zen and I’ll just book a later class. No $30 fee for missing, and I can just cancel in the app. (Of course I always cancel as early as possible in order to free up a spot, but often the classes aren’t full anyways) *yoga gif by Edith Kurosaka

Multiple library cards

At least have one for the borough you live in and one for the borough you work in. Then you can just pop into whichever library when you feel inspired to pick out a new book! And you can do some hold comparison shopping too
