I just loved reading this book to my kids. The author’s family lives off the grid and builds a house from scratch. So many beautiful parts of this story — the value of teamwork, making something your own — and it ends in the most satisfying way.

Walking the neighborhood without media inputs
I started walking my dogs without headphones like the olden days. I occasionally miss listening to podcasts or audiobooks, but I have other time to do that. These walks have become a time for my brain to just … be. If you feel like your thoughts are always abuzz, try walking with no inputs. It might help quiet things down.
