Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Complete Series Blu Ray
Essential for any science fiction and/or television fan. I just watched the entire series for the first time and its exploration of the human condition blew me away. Also has that late 80s/90s campiness that I love so much!
Hollywood Bowl in the Summer
Okay, this isn’t a hidden gem. BUT, there truly is no better LA tradition than getting together with a group of friends and picnicking at the Bowl before seeing an amazing concert as the sun sets. Parking tip: Park and Ride all the way!! Photo is from this summer’s Wes Anderson concert series :)
Giant Robot
A West LA icon. I love their art shows, it’s a great place to score original art at affordable prices. Tip: Every December the GR gallery has a show where artists from around the world design post-it notes and they’re sold for $35 each. You could snag original art from Matt Groening!
O Que Será (A Flor Da Terra) - Chico Buarque & Milton Nascimento
A great thing about having a Brasilian dad is that the music you grow up listening to is god-tier. This is one of my favorite songs of all time and I think that even if you don’t understand Portuguese, you can still feel this song in your heart!
