My Rec League Starter Pack

Habits of the Sea

I often read predictable romance novels because they’re easy, and low stress, and the escapism I crave - but when we’re in Maine I always buy a real book and this one was outside of the bounds of what I’d normally think to write about. A piece of land that breaks off the mainland, an island that appears and disappears all over the ocean, a man that does not age and a girl — then woman who finds him again.

Obé Fitness

I’m over 600 workouts in and I pick out my workout in bed each night so when the alarm goes off at 6:15am I’m ready. Favorites include Katherine for sculpt, and Alex and Olivia for strength!

70s marble coffee table

My best fb marketplace find to date - my husband drove 3 hours deep into Québec to pick this up the day before Ottawa went into its first lockdown of 2020. We paid $60 - it’s still my favourite piece of furniture in our house.

Pete and Alice in Maine

It’s the pandemic (it’s been long enough since that I actually kind of miss those bubbles days when we were all at home all the time) and Pete and Alice are having life troubles and marriage problems and of course they escape to Maine (and have to swap out their city licence plates on the way there). I loved this one because I love Maine and I bought it at Sherman’s Book store in bar harbor.
