exploring SF via the crosstown trail
Highly recommend for anyone new to SF. The Crosstown trail (and double cross trail) is marked to take you across the entire city and through almost every neighborhood. From the Bay to the Pacific Ocean you’ll experience almost every microclimate, explore so many parks, and climb the tiled stairs - it’s magical! It’s super fun to build in pit stops in neighborhoods you’ve never been to, and there’s a lovely sense of camaraderie when you meet fellow crosstown’ers (?) along the way!
Knowing your neighborhood cats
Stumbling across a feline friend during an excursion is an incredible serotonin boost. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my besties — it’s probably definitely my ego but I’m pretty sure there’s a queen down the block that recognizes me. Full disclosure - this is Otis, my son, but also a cat of the neighborhood.
littorai
Can’t stop thinking about their wine & property - insane.
spumoni on a hot summer night
I grew up going to L&Bs - nothing beats their spumoni on a hot summer night. Some may say it’s all about Ralph’s ices, but please for the love of god indulge in some spumoni. A square slice followed by spumoni? Heaven. I have yet to find decent spumoni in the bay: if you have a recommendation, I’m all ears 🙏🏾‼️
