Perfect Days

this is a two-fer recommendation. first, the film. duh. not to be dramatic but Perfect Days quite literally changed my life [because it changed my perspective]. i walked into the theater looking to escape the overwhelming tides of life + this film held my hand + told me that peace comes in many forms, we just have to look around sometimes. second, Kanopy. get your cinephile on! they have an amazing selection of movies + documentaries. having a library card has literally opened my eyeballs so many thing from screening tickets, museum access, i forgot the rest but those are the two main ones i found myself super excited over. ok bai!

it could’ve been where + who i was in life when i read this, but the thought of it has not only pacified me when i’ve started spiral, but it has changed my perspective. when i start catastrophizing my life & the choices i’ve made aka psychoanalyzing myself over why i haven’t hit or maintained romantic milestones… i’m reminded that someone beautifully recounted their imperfect journey & thus reminded me that loving or having a sexual partner isn’t the only destination. love is limitless if you widen your scope.
