Train dreams by Denis Johnson
It is the most gentle, wrenching, story I’ve read. Actually, I listened to the audiobook. Recommending Denis Johnson is not very original but it was the first thing that came to mind. “Train Dreams” is the best thing Denis Johnson has produced, and he’s produced a lot of great stuff. He died at the Sea Ranch and you can rent his house.
Yamazaki dishrack
It hurt to spend so much money on a dish rack but it is perfect. I don’t think anyone needs a bigger dish rack, tbh. I didn’t have a dishwasher and I don’t believe in hand drying dishes, you could really load this lil rack up. My home had the best view from the kitchen sink, I would watch pelicans diving while washing my dishes.
Hemnes daybed
I couldn’t afford a murphy bed so I got this daybed. Put a rug on it during a day and it’s a sofa, swap the rug with a duvet at night and its a twin, and it pull out to make a king for guests. Plus, it has storage! After two years the mattresses got pretty uncomfortable tho.
Round Rattan Tall Decorative Baskets Natural - Threshold™
I kept this laundry basket in my shower. To tote laundry down the dock to the laundromat I’d sort my dirties into two ikea blue bags, sling those over my shoulder in a balanced way. Detergent sheets are easier to take to the laundromat than a whole jug of laundry detergent. Don’t forget your bag of coins!
