The long line says it all, but for once it's a line I will happily stand in! JG Berries really are the best -- as a lifelong blackberry hater they made me a convert.

Los Feliz Improvement Association (namely the website)

The Los Feliz Improvement Association has a terrible name but a seemingly positive mission (very unlike the NIMBY vibes it gives off). My favorite thing they do though is this "Find Your Home" interactive map that I've spent too many hours on. This link is to one of the coolest houses in the neighborhood -- the Blackburn Residence, built by my personal fave Paul Revere Williams in 1927. But poke around, and you'll find so many gems!

Yummy Cupcakes

I'm aware the website is atrocious, but I've been going to this Burbank cupcake shop since I was 11 years old (the beginning of LA's cupcake craze), and the quality has never dipped. If you're really craving just a perfect little bit of cake and not-too-sweet frosting, you can't do better than this.

The best neighborhood florist! You can order ahead especially for big holidays, but honestly I've always been able to walk in and grab something great, even on Mother's Day.
